The food and beverage department is a complex function requiring someone to coordinate and supervise multiple teams of associates in order for the restaurant to be a success. As the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will ensure ground level operations for the food and beverage operations run smoothly. Here are just a few of the tasks you’ll be completing regularly: · Coordinate with restaurant and banquet staff set-ups, changes and time schedules for all functions and restaurant operation Check room set-up to see that Banquet Event Order directions are completely followed. Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean. Ensure the restaurant is properly set for meal services; coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure buffet is set/stocked properly. Operate as a restaurant/banquet server when needed; setting up, greeting and serving the guest, and breaking down the function. Inspect restaurant/banquet areas at the end of the function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean. Where You’ve Been: We’re looking for someone with at least a high school diploma and at least two years working in a supervisory capacity with experience in restaurant and banquet operations. Most importantly, you’re someone who can remain calm under pressure all while communicating and coordinating associates in a positive and professional manner. Previous hotel experience is highly desired. When You’re Here: This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and working on slippery floors. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
