About The Position

Wilson Country Club is seeking Service Team Members to join our team and provide food and beverage service to club members and guests. The Food & Beverage Service Team Member is a key front-line team member responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests across all dining areas, including the main dining room, banquet and event spaces, poolside cabanas, and the turn/Grovers station. This role involves taking and serving food and beverage orders, setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience at every service point. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of hospitality and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Grade 12 education.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.
  • Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
  • Is knowledgeable about the menu, buffet and wine list.
  • Ability to time the service of each course.
  • Learns members’ names and their special preferences.
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Alcoholic beverage certification.
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all members and guests promptly with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
  • Set up side stations and complete assigned prep work before service begins.
  • Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by management.
  • Distribute menus and answer any questions about the offerings.
  • Suggest daily specials, food pairings, and wine selections.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Place orders with the kitchen, including any special instructions.
  • Serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner, presenting each course properly.
  • Present dessert menus and suggest after-dinner drinks or coffee.
  • Clear used dishes, reset tables between courses, and maintain a clean, organized station.
  • Process guest checks accurately, including account numbers, tips, and charges.
  • Present and handle bills according to SOPs, including member charges and credit cards.
  • Thank guests and invite them to return.
  • Provide full-service dining with proper pacing and etiquette.
  • Set and reset tables with correct place settings and cleanliness.
  • Support dining room flow by communicating with the host stand and kitchen staff.
  • Report any guest issues or complaints to supervisors immediately.
  • Set up and break down banquet/event spaces per layout and instructions.
  • Serve plated meals, buffets, or cocktail-style events efficiently and professionally.
  • Communicate with event leads and kitchen staff for timing and adjustments.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests relaxing poolside or in cabanas.
  • Monitor guest needs proactively, clearing items and offering refills as needed.
  • Ensure the pool area remains clean and that all service is performed safely outdoors.
  • Provide quick, friendly service to golfers and guests on the go.
  • Prepare and serve grab-and-go snacks and beverages.
  • Keep the area clean, stocked, and ready for high traffic times.
  • Perform assigned cleaning and reset tasks at the end of each shift.
  • Clear and clean tables, side stations, and service areas.
  • Ensure proper closing procedures are followed and tip forms are submitted, if applicable.
  • Always follow state and local laws regarding alcohol service.
  • Consistently follow club policies and safety procedures.
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene, presentation, and member service.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Dining Room Manager or Food & Beverage Managers as needed.
