About The Position

Harbor View Hotel is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team for the 2026 summer season! Position Overview: The Food and Beverage Manager has a strong food & beverage background and an obvious passion for hospitality. A primary role of this position is to promote the vision to develop a department that provides top notch guest experiences, optimized profitability and cultivating a knowledgeable and efficient wait staff. The F&B Manager has strong communication, training skills and is accustomed to problem solving in a fast-paced high-volume setting. Presence is required on the dining room floor throughout service to assist employees and enhance guest experience. Assistance planning and executing banquet and catering operations in conjunction with the banquet service team. Responsibility for ensuring that company assets are stored securely and inventoried frequently. F&B Manager will be involved in scheduling, hiring, training, coaching, counseling and terminating. Analyzing and practicing financial functions of the department, such as reaching budget goals, monitoring labor expenses, nightly financial reporting and assisting with the payroll. Position Dates: April 1st, 2026 through October 31st, 2026

Requirements

  • ServSafe Manager Certificate, Allergen Awareness Certification, First Aid, CPR Certification
  • Conforms to all DOH guidelines and standards
  • Able to manage 20+ employees in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with banquets & catered events
  • Ability to work under pressure and lead with composure at all times
  • Patient and humble leadership style, team player, positive attitude, passionate about food & excellent guest service
  • Self-motivated, organized, reliable and hard working
  • Ability to lead a team successfully in a culture-driven environment
  • 2 years+ experience in Restaurant Management at a hotel, restaurant or resort
  • Full availability and flexible schedule

Responsibilities

  • Train, motivate and inspire staff to provide the highest levels of guest service and execute department standards.
  • Train staff on procedure and ensure execution of food and beverage knowledge/salesmanship and safe practices in the work place
  • Display strong leadership skills, enjoy mentoring staff, develop employees within the department to reach their full potential
  • Manage restaurant dining rooms, banquet events and employee personnel
  • Skilled at problem-solving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and courteous attitude
  • Plan sequence of service for large banquet events; following through on their execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that promote a positive and insightful work environment
  • Use inventory management systems, follow food and beverage trends and forecast purchase needs
  • Identify and execute opportunity for guest recovery, to build meaningful guest experience
  • Require knowledge of all functions performed by team members reporting directly or indirectly to Food and Beverage Manager
  • Comply with all heath and safety regulations
  • Perform other relative tasks assigned by Management.
