About The Position

Schulte Companies is seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands on Food & Beverage Director to join our team! Position Responsibilities: · Responsible for managing the front & back of house operations for the Restaurant / Hotel. · Providing training, direction, supervision and hands on support · Recruit, manage, train and develop the Food and Beverage team · Direct associates and supervisors to accomplish goals and objectives of the food and beverage operation · Ensure the proper preparation of food and beverages to the satisfaction of our guests, brand and ensures all safety, health and hygiene requirements are consistently met · Hire and Train service staff · Ensure direct and facilitate communication, engagement and conflict resolutions as needed by the team to ensure a positive associate environment. · Processes bi-weekly payroll · Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner · Inventory, ordering supplies, Purchasing responsibility · Creates and develops menu prices, beverage lists and prices, and is responsible for the selection of condiments, linens, uniforms and décor used with the property's facility and in line with brand requirements. · Review employees' challenges referred from the supervisory staff and follows up as needed. Handle disciplinary problems and performance manage employees according to hotel standards. ·Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Liquor Costs and Payroll · Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives SHG is an organization whose success is rooted in its service culture. Requirements

  • Ability to work with the Sales team effectively with meetings, BEO’s, menu planning, pop-up events
  • Knowledge of Hotel food and beverage operations and room service preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including morning shift, evening shift, weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food & Beverage
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable)
  • Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Experience in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of restaurant, bar and culinary talent
  • Experience managing Restaurant and Bars in the capacity of Assistant General Manager or higher
  • Extensive passion for and an understanding of the Restaurant and Bar industry and proven track record of success

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management or equivalent is preferred
