About The Position

At Cowabunga Vegas, Food and Beverage Cashiers are essential to delivering delicious food and exceptional guest experiences. They warmly greet guests with a friendly Cowabunga “Shaka”, skillfully up-sell targeted items, accurately take orders, process payments, assemble orders, and deliver each one with a smile ensuring the cashier/runner area remains clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day. This role supports the team by being cross trained in both the cashier or runner positions and assisting with prep work as needed. Working across various Food and Beverage locations throughout the park—both indoors and outdoors—cashiers consistently embody our moment making keys in every interaction the ideal candidate is guest-focused, detail-oriented, proactive in meeting guest needs, and committed to creating a Good-Clean-Fun experience for every guest at Cowabunga Vegas.

Requirements

  • Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler’s permit.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift 25–50 lbs.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
  • Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process payments.
  • Assemble and serve menu items according to departmental procedures in various roles such as cashier and runner.
  • Complete daily restocking, cleaning tasks and dishwashing assigned by departmental leadership, as well as weekly deep cleaning tasks.
  • Keep workstations, equipment, floors, windows, carts, coolers, freezers and any other supplies used clean, organized, and properly sanitized in compliance with health department and Cowabunga Vegas standards.
  • Ensure products are fresh and that FIFO (first in, first out) is followed to maintain proper product rotation.
  • Follow all food handling protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health Department regulations while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Comply with all Pyek Group, Cowabunga Vegas, and Food & Beverage policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of point-of-sale systems, food handling equipment, cleaning protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Proactively identify operational and equipment issues and collaborate with departmental leadership to resolve them when appropriate.
  • Embody Cowabunga Vegas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Cowabunga-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as needed.
