About The Position

Foodlink is seeking an Operations Analyst to support Foodlink’s food bank operations and advance the use of data across the organization. Our 70,000+ square foot warehouse distributes more than 25 million pounds of food annually to a network of more than 400 emergency food programs throughout our 10-county service area. The logistics of distributing food are complex, with many regulatory requirements, and must always be mission-oriented and community-centered. Position Overview: The Operations Analyst plays a key role in strengthening Foodlink’s operational effectiveness through data analysis, reporting, and technology support. This position supports Food Bank operations by transforming operational data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. The Operations Analyst will also contribute to building Foodlink’s emerging data function, helping establish data standards, dashboards, and reporting systems that elevate organizational transparency and performance. This individual works closely with Food Bank leadership (Fulfillment, Logistics, Procurement) as well as cross departmental teams including Finance and Technology to ensure data systems are accurate, reliable, and useful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, operations analytics, or similar roles (mid-level).
  • Proficiency in Tableau required; experience with Power BI, Jet Reports, SQL, or other analytics tools strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including data modeling, formulas, and visualizations.
  • Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory systems (Ceres experience is a plus).
  • Ability to extract, transform, and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to present complex information in a clear, user-friendly format.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or nonprofit operations preferred (not required).
  • Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory systems (Ceres experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational data (receiving, inventory, logistics, distribution, waste, productivity, etc.) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Jet Reports, or similar tools.
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports that support decision-making across Food Bank operations.
  • Partner with Fulfillment and Logistics teams to improve data quality and accuracy within Ceres and elated systems.
  • Provide technical support for operational reporting tools, including troubleshooting, user access, and system configuration needs.
  • Assist in designing and implementing data governance practices and standard operating procedures for reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Technology team on data integration, automation opportunities, and system improvements.
  • Support the VP of Operations & Technology in building Foodlink’s data capacity, including developing data infrastructure, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental projects aimed at expanding data literacy and increasing the organization’s ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Help evaluate and implement new tools, systems, or processes that support operations analytics and organizational data strategy.
  • Work closely with Food Bank leadership to understand operational workflows and identify reporting needs.
  • Partner with Finance on data consistency, period close reporting, and reconciliation projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with Member Services, Procurement, and other internal teams to support shared operational metrics and performance tracking.
