More information is available at www.crisis24.garda.com Who We Are Looking For Crisis24 is a global leader in integrated risk management, providing crisis response, security, and product risk consulting services to multinational organizations and insurers. The Product Risk Response (PRR) team supports clients before, during, and after product safety incidents, including food contamination events and product recalls. We are seeking a Safety Consultant to join our US-based PRR team. This mid-level role is ideal for a professional with food safety and/or quality experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility in live response situations while continuing to develop consulting and crisis management skills. The position requires knowledge of FDA, USDA, and FSMA regulations and experience with insurance-driven recall response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Public Health, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in food safety, quality, compliance, or related roles
  • Exposure to food safety incidents, recalls, audits, or regulatory compliance
  • Strong administrative, documentation, and coordination experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management tools
  • Must be available for response activities, including occasional travel
  • On-call and after-hours support required (rota-based)

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of FDA, USDA, and FSMA regulations
  • Experience supporting product recalls or crisis/incident response
  • HACCP, PCQI, or similar certifications
  • Experience working with insurers, consultants, and/or clients

Responsibilities

  • Support product recall response cases, including contamination events and regulatory-driven recalls.
  • Coordinate response activities and assist with client communications, data collection, and response tracking during live incidents.
  • Liaise with internal teams and approved third-party providers to support execution of response actions.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours response support.
  • Manage case documentation, timelines, response logs, invoicing, and Salesforce entries.
  • Write case summaries and post-incident documentation.
  • Track response actions and deadlines across multiple cases.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with PRR standards.
  • Support food safety and product risk consulting engagements, including recall preparedness and risk assessments.
  • Conduct regulatory and technical research related to FDA, USDA, and FSMA requirements.
  • Assist in developing client-facing materials, templates, and response plans.
  • Apply foundational food safety knowledge to support incident analysis and decision-making.
  • Build technical expertise through training and supervised client engagement.
  • Collaborate with US and global PRR teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to senior consultants during high-tempo response situations.
  • Contribute to improvements in response tools, templates, and internal processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client and incident information.
