This night shift Food Safety and Quality Technician will be responsible for training and support of manufacturing personnel in quality systems to maximize product quality. Principal Duties and Responsibilities : Initiation of problem-solving activities relating to quality parameter issues. Performance of in-process and finished goods product testing to ensure that products are within OSC quality standards and food safety. Pull and test product not fulfilling quality standards. Document quality activities to provide a record of quality compliance efforts. Train manufacturing personnel in the quality/food safety system and related quality procedures, responding to food safety/ quality related issues and providing technical assistance as needed. Advise manufacturing personnel on proper product sampling techniques. Administer finished goods and raw material quality holds to ensure that quality/food safety problems are investigated and effectively dealt with. Perform troubleshooting and problem solving relating to quality/food safety parameter issues. Release raw materials for use in production process or release products for shipment when all quality requirements have been met. Display ownership of quality programs and processes, drive quality improvement throughout operations. Assist in preparing the plant for third party audits (SQF, AIB, OSC, etc) as well as regulatory and GMP audits. Oversee the CIP sanitary functions to be in compliance with Food Safety and Quality requirement. Assist Operations for the ATP/ microbiological tests and document results to ensure that sanitation standards are compliant.
