About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as Food and Beverage Manager. This individual is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example, don’t settle for the normal, and continuously encourage and engage their team members. They will assist in providing the strategic leadership required to achieve the fiduciary and quality goals for the Food and Beverage operations. They will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of the hotel/resort Food and Beverage operations, while improving on the current model and be responsible for managing in a manner consistent with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of the Benchmark.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in F&B management, preferably in a hotel or multi-outlet operation (i.e., bars, restaurants, banquet/event functions)
  • Proven leadership experience in restaurant, bar, and event operations.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement successful promotions and events.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Maricopa County health codes, liquor laws, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with labor laws, alcohol service laws, and employee safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Food Safety (ServSafe or equivalent) and Responsible Alcohol Service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction across all dining experiences.
  • Maintain high service standards, ensuring a fast, friendly, and efficient dining experience.
  • Address guest concerns, feedback, and special requests to enhance satisfaction.
  • Implement cost control measures for food, beverage, and labor expenses.
  • Collaborate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and quality ingredients.
  • Support the hiring, training, and management of F&B staff, fostering a motivated and customer-focused team.
  • Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and enforce company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and employee safety regulations.
  • Work with the Director of F&B and Marketing team to create and execute promotions, seasonal menus, and special events.
  • Develop local partnerships and collaborations to increase foot traffic.
  • Ensure adherence to Maricopa County health codes, liquor laws, and food safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain proper sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee alcohol service compliance and staff training for responsible serving.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with timely orders for food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Reduce waste through effective inventory management and portion control.
  • Ensure proper use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for accurate order taking and billing.
  • Work closely with the General Manager, Director of F&B, and other department heads to align F&B services with overall hotel goals.
  • Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal employees.
  • Oversee hiring and training programs for food and beverage personnel.
  • Develop management skills in employees.
  • Oversee weekly payroll for department.
  • Assist in all Food and Beverage outlets in whatever capacity needed.
