Food and Beverage Cashier
About The Position
The Food & Beverage Cashier/Food Prep position is responsible for ensuring that our guests enjoy their dining experience by providing quality food and superior customer service. Associates will operate a POS system for sales transactions while properly handling cash and credit transactions. When not actively assisting guests with food choices, associates are required to prepare the varying food items through cold and hot preparation. This position reports directly to the Feeding Frenzy Supervisor and the Director of Food & Beverage. Overview Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to manipulate and work with kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, sinks, dishwashers and various cooking implements without impediment.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Fluent in English
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years experience in restaurant hosting or cashiering, preferably in an Attractions/Amusement setting.
- Proven cash handling responsibilities.
- Friendly, courteous and well-mannered.
- Excellent communications skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform cash handling and customer transaction processing.
- Perform duties as requested by the Executive Chef or Feeding Frenzy Supervisor to ensure that proper levels of food production are maintained (i.e. pizza, sandwiches, salads, sliced meats, cheeses, fruits, etc.).
- Maintain work areas as well as the surrounding areas, which include the dining room, in a clean and sanitary manner within company and health department standards.
- Make sure that counter displays are well stocked and maintain them in that fashion throughout the entire shift
- Assist any area within the food department to ensure guest satisfaction.
- May assist in performing a monthly inventory.
- Assist fellow employees whenever needed.
