River Terrace Inn A day in the life... The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager involves supporting daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating schedules, assisting with inventory and ordering, and maintaining cleanliness and service standards. Throughout the shift, the role focuses on monitoring guest satisfaction, resolving issues, supporting the team during busy periods, and ensuring food safety and company policies are followed. At the end of the day, duties may include reviewing sales, completing reports, and preparing the team and venue for the next service. You own this if you have ... Responsibilities

• Lead by example in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.
• Ensure service standards, steps of service, and guest satisfaction goals are consistently met.
• Train and mentor new servers on menu knowledge, service techniques, and POS system use.
• Act as the first point of contact for server questions or guest concerns during shifts.
• Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including section setup, side work, and shift checklists.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
• Monitor table assignments and assist in managing guest seating when necessary.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.
• Maintain awareness of VIP guests, dietary restrictions, and special events.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support management in inventory, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed
