As a Floor Finisher, you'll provide a reassuring presence while cleaning maintaining floors throughout our hospital. Full time - 40 Hours a Week 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Rotating Holidays and Works Every Other Weekend Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Environmental Services Department providing excellent housekeeping and infection prevention processes while striving to provide a safe, welcoming, healing environment for our patients and their families. Role Purpose The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and refinishing floors (buffing, stripping, waxing) on a regular basis, in accordance with standard procedures of the housekeeping department. May involve terminal cleaning of operating room suites.

Requirements

<2 years Experience
No Experience Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED Education
2-5 years Experience
< 2 years Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

Performs floor care and project cleaning functions in assigned areas.
Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedures.
Handles hazardous and infectious waste properly.
Reports defects to supervisor.
Responds to emergency spills according to procedure.
