About The Position

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. Our Housekeeping Department consists of Housekeepers professionally trained to take exceptional care of people by ensuring a clean and safe environment. The Housekeeping Department procedures are the 8¿step cleaning process. They are as follows; High dusting, empty trash, sanitize, spot clean, clean bathroom, dust mop floor, inspect room, damp mop floor. The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and refinishing floors (buffing, stripping, waxing) on a regular basis, in accordance with standard procedures of the housekeeping department. May involve terminal cleaning of operating room suites.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care and project cleaning functions in assigned areas.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedures.
• Handles hazardous and infectious waste properly.
• Reports defects to supervisor.
• Responds to emergency spills according to procedure.
