About The Position

The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas including performing routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis using all floor and buffing machines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles materials and supplies in janitorial room.
• Cleans assigned areas by dusting and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectant to prevent the spread of disease.
• Uses treated cloths on dust broom, damp mop and vacuum to clean hallways, dining room floor and other areas as needed.
• Buffs all hallways, patient rooms and other floors as needed, effectively using all floor and buffing machinery.
• Strips floors and wax as needed.
• Cleans carpets in assigned areas per schedule using appropriate chemicals and all floor machinery.
• Cross trains to other department responsibilities as needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
