Nellis AFB - Floor Care Technician Job DetailsJob Location: Nellis AFB, NV 89191Salary Range: $22.08 - $22.08 HourlyExperience maintaining floors (buffing, stripping, and waxing) is strongly preferred. Duties: Reports to the Executive Housekeeper Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors. Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned. Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with training videos in assigned areas. Records work completed on Area Assignment Checklist. Cleans and disinfects clinical and non-clinical areas within the facility, to include (but not limited to) throwing out trash, spot mopping, wiping down surfaces with approved disinfectants, replenishing paper and soap products. Responds to Housekeeping pages. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services. Essential Functions: Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift. Pushing, pulling, and lifting furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently. Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 lb.) continuously throughout a shift. Able to lift 0 – 40 lb. frequently. Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.). Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even other hours as needed per assigned area. Must have communication skills in English. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
