About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our environmental services team at a hospital in Los Angeles. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary flooring throughout the facility, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in patient and public areas.

Requirements

• 2 years of floor technician experience is preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Extensive floor care product knowledge
• Working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces (marble, granite, VCT, etc.)
• Working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures (shampooing, extracting, bonneting)
• Ability to perform window cleaning and power washing duties
• Planning / scheduling, problem solving
• Time management skills
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow-up
• Covid-19 vaccination requirements may vary by client site.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of various floor surfaces (tile, vinyl, carpet, etc.)
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuums
• Strip, wax, and polish floors as needed
• Respond promptly to spills and maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
• Follow all hospital safety protocols, including infection control procedures
• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals according to regulations
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
