We have an opening for an efficient and independent Flexographic Press Operator on 1st shift. What your typical day will look like as a Flexographic Press Operator: Operate and set up a flexographic-printing press and adjust the speed of the press. Mount printing plates and cylinders into the printing press and fill the dye font with ink. Feed the flexographic press with the material that is going to be printed on. With attention to detail, reading the job orders that give specific instructions on what the printing should look like including the types of ink, plate, and material that should be used for printing. Cut the material precisely according to the client specification. Handle the production of the entire printing job and ensure the quality of items produced. Responsible for keeping the production area clean, neat, and organized, as well as maintaining all equipment, notifying the Production Supervisor of any problems, and communicating any need for supplies that will make production more efficient and will improve the quality of our products. Requirements

High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
At least one (1) year of flexographic printing experience.
Familiarity with computerized production systems.
Demonstrated ability to make optimal use of time available by analyzing workload and maintaining focus on priorities and time-sensitive tasks.
Proven ability to interact and engage with the rest of the team and work together towards a common goal.
Ability to pass a test for color blindness.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mark Andy line of presses highly desired. Time logged on the P-Series presses built by Mark Andy would be a plus.

Responsibilities

Full knowledge of completing press set-up and changeover.
Capable of running 4-color process jobs without assistance.
Mix Pantone ink colors.
Ensure quality in the items they produce.
Perform weekly periodic maintenance of all equipment used in Production and maintain PM log.
Notify the Production Supervisor of any problems or questions with equipment.
Be agile, moving to where the work is if necessary and as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Keep production area clean, neat, and organized.
Work with pre-production individuals as a team, and with respect.
Effectively and efficiently manage time.
