About The Position

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for the centralized management of ICCU’s growing fleet, ensuring safety, operational efficiency, cost control, and brand consistency. This role oversees vehicle acquisition, maintenance, compliance, and reporting for fleet assets, including vehicles, trailers and additional equipment. The Fleet Specialist will work closely with internal departments and external vendors to maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use computer programs, make recommendations, write reports, document communication and manage budgets.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
  • Able to deal with high pressure situations in a professional manner.
  • Proficient at diagnosing problems and finding solutions.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance, attitude, and verbal & written communication.
  • Maintain a current driver license and a good driving record.
  • Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
  • Lifting 70-80 pounds (items include desks, snow, garbage, office supplies, and other miscellaneous equipment).
  • Able to work outside with company machinery and tools.
  • Bending, Kneeling, Standing, Walking, and Reaching for long periods of time.
  • Local travel, where a company vehicle is provided.
  • Adequate auto insurance for driving while conducting company business.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
  • Must be eligible for membership at ICCU to obtain employment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement fleet acquisition standards and upfitting criteria for all vehicle roles.
  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules, licensing, and compliance using Fleetio software.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness and uphold ICCU’s brand image.
  • Serve as primary liaison for dealerships and coordinate procurement workflows.
  • Prepare annual fleet recommendations for budgeting and growth planning.
  • Generate monthly mileage, utilization, and performance reports for leadership review.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records and optimize Fleetio utilization.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery, outfitting, and branding processes.
  • Ensure adherence to ICCU safety and operational standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
