With our main R&D campus in Michigan and additional engineering, development, and proving ground facilities in California, HATCI provides a dynamic environment where ideas accelerate into real-world vehicle advancements.   About the Team The Chino Emissions and OBD Validation (CEMOV) team is part of the Electrified Propulsion Division of HATCI. We advance propulsion efficiency and performance across Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis internal combustion and hybrid powertrains, directly shaping the refinement, competitiveness, and technological leadership of the vehicles our customers drive every day. CEMOV leads local market testing and validation of engine and electrified propulsion management systems controlling vehicle emissions and diagnostics.  HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACTFleet Operation Management: Oversee Fleet Test Driver day-to-day operations. Main contact person between Kett representatives and Fleet Test Drivers Scheduling; Drivers, Routes, Vehicles & all Workshop tasks Staffing: In-person Interviews & Training, Timecard Approval, Firing and disciplinary matters Interview and administer paper and driving test with new driver candidates.  Monitor first 60 days of probationary period, set-up simulated incident test and assess driver performance. Lead quarterly “All Hands” meeting with Drivers, Technicians, Engineers and Managers for information sharing purposes. Monitor and ensure accurate data in daily driver run sheet input into Vehicle Database Weekly mileage trend line update to Fleet Engineers Oversee the fuel card, receipts and monitor receipts to maintain smooth Fleet Operations. Bi-monthly Fleet Status Report sent locally & to Headquarters. Budget Approval Report compilation Create and present technical reports as assigned. Perform administrative functions for Fleet drivers such as purchasing requests, timecard review & sign-off, vacation requests, travel requests, etc. Manage and coordinate other seasonal vehicles that are temporarily on site. Communicate with vehicle owners, manage tracking and logistics of seasonal vehicles. Perform additional special projects assigned by Manager. Fleet Emission Testing Support: Ability to support Engineering testing with vehicle data measurement as assigned by Manager. Ability to support Engineering testing with vehicle software update as assigned by Manager. Propulsion System Development Inventory Management: Maintain ePPT vehicle & license plate inventory. Quarterly Parking Lot Audit & Report out. Vehicle Management System (VMS) Input and Maintenance Create and manage Asset Recovery Forms for Scrap/Trade-In Vehicle Requests User and Asset registration in KeyPer system Create and manage accurate inventory of testing equipment hardware.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior
  • Basic Knowledge of Automotive Industry
  • Basic Knowledge of Vehicle Emissions Testing
  • Experience with installation and set-up of ETAS data acquisition equipment.
  • High School, GED or trade school, some college preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in Project Management including scheduling and managing projects.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Experience with culturally diverse team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; MS Internet Explorer
  • Basic Project Management skills
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Proficient self-management, excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Preferred Korean language written and verbal proficiency.
