About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance Clerk plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by supporting the maintenance team with scheduling, inventory management, and accurate data tracking. This position ensures that preventive maintenance is completed on time, parts are available when needed, and maintenance records are precise and up to date.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
At least 6 months of related experience
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, data entry systems, and email
Willingness to learn company-specific software applications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Ability to prioritize work and maintain speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Waste or trucking industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Schedule preventive maintenance for fleet vehicles and coordinate required parts
Maintain and organize repair orders, safety lane forms, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
Accurately enter and verify maintenance data in internal systems
Order parts for both day and night shifts with Shop Manager approval
Manage parts inventory, including cycle counts and stock accuracy
Receive, label, stock, and distribute parts to mechanics and leadership
Review maintenance team timecards for accuracy and flag discrepancies
Generate productivity, usage, and maintenance reports for management
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Support the team with additional duties as needed
Participate in company-sponsored training and development programs as assigned
Stay current with evolving technologies and systems relevant to the role
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
