About The Position

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, in Houston, TX (is seeking to hire a Fleet Coordinator who is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, coordination, and operation of the company's fleet of vehicles for the organization. This role ensures that vehicles are operated in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The Fleet Coordinator will work closely with our lease partner to maintain vehicle records, and manage costs related to maintenance. Other duties as needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in 350 plus fleet management or logistics
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and fleet management software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management software.
  • Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
  • Experience in managing fleet.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including working efficiently with Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee routine maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles.
  • Ensure that all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with repair shops or in-house mechanics to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure that vehicles are equipped with necessary supplies and safety equipment.
  • Plan and organize vehicle routes and schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure the proper use of fleet vehicles and manage the vehicle assigned process.
  • Work in collaboration with the Financial Manager on fleet budget, including fuel costs, repairs, insurance, and maintenance.
  • Analyze costs associated with fleet operation and identify areas for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee the lease of new vehicles or the disposal of older ones when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain and communicate accurate records for each lease vehicle, including registration, insurance, inspections, and maintenance history etc.
  • Ensure all drivers adhere to safety protocols, driving regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in and conduct safety meetings to provide insight into vehicle operations, road safety and emergency procedures.
