About The Position

ND Landscape is seeking a highly organized, driven, and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing fleet. This role is not about being a hands-on mechanic — it’s about leadership, logistics, organization, communication, and execution. If you are a natural problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of systems and people, this role is for you. Position Overview The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 60 vehicles and pieces of equipment , ensuring everything is tracked, maintained, repaired, compliant, and ready to perform. You will lead a small team, coordinate vendors, manage inventory, and make informed decisions around repairs, replacements, and purchases.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of fleet assets, including repairs, maintenance, replacements, sales, and new purchases
Schedule and prioritize fleet needs to minimize downtime and keep crews productive
Manage and lead a team of 1-3 direct reports , holding them accountable to expectations, timelines, and quality of work
Track all fleet inventory, equipment, parts, and supplies with extreme accuracy and organization
Research equipment, vendors, pricing, warranties, and safety requirements for trucks and equipment
Partner with local vendors to secure fast service, reliable support, and competitive pricing
Communicate clearly and professionally with leadership, field teams, and vendors
Respond quickly to breakdowns and urgent issues, thinking on the fly to find solutions
Maintain detailed records related to fleet condition, repairs, costs, and compliance
Continuously improve fleet systems, processes, and efficiencies
