About The Position

Accurately compounds experimental formulas per the direction of flavorists. Follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes. Conducts laboratory experiments under the direction of flavor chemists. Ensure consistency in various prepared compositions and report any inconsistencies or formulation issues to the flavorists. Transfer materials and set up equipment, according to SOP. Obtains raw materials from the production environment and properly record item with description and lot number. Coordination with procurement may also be required. Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies. Fill, label, and pack samples of flavors to be sent to Synergy customers. Prepare shipping paperwork for hazardous and non-hazardous samples shipped via UPS/Fed-ex Maintain Pilot Plant equipment in clean, operating condition, Maintain organization of the sample library. Assure adequate inventory of packaging and shipping supplies. Responsible for proper care, handling, maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment and laboratory workspace. Maintains stocks of laboratory glassware and supplies Prepares tasting solutions for evaluation. Participates in taste panels. Follows safety, quality and GMP policies of the company and government. Other general laboratory and project-related responsibilities as required.
