About The Position
Archer Western is currently seeking a Work Zone Barricade Servicer for the GDOT SR316 Bundle 2, in Athens, GA. The Work Zone Barricade Servicer is responsible for various traffic control duties on construction projects; tasked with properly directly live traffic in and around active construction zones for protection and safety of public and employees. Requirements
- Certification in Work Zone Traffic Control may be required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Requires good manual dexterity
- May be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Nice To Haves
- 3-5 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Control flow of traffic around construction jobsite
- Oversees proper erection, placement, and removal of traffic control materials
- Maintain traffic control supplies as needed
- May be required to ensure that flag persons are properly trained for duty
