Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Venues, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Working closely with fl.2 Chef to execute the smooth and flawless operation of both the Front and Heart of House Ensuring optimal performance by being a presence on the floor to support and lead the team to deliver service excellence Drive revenue and profit through the development and implementation of strategies, practices and promotions while in keeping with the overall concept Curate Pittsburgh’s top beverage and bar program Effectively manage the departmental budget Effectively recruit and onboard new colleagues Train and lead the team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed Promote the growth and development of internal talent Manage in partnership with the Director or Sales and Marketing the social media accounts of the restaurant in accordance with marketing standards Manage online reputation by responding in a timely and professional manner and handling any concerns Maintain the safety and sanitation of both front and heart of house restaurant operation Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective operation of the hotel Have full knowledge of restaurant trends and innovations Constantly drive innovation Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Previous senior leadership experience in an equivalent role, encompassing both Food and Beverage required Demonstrated passion for the Food and Beverage industry and knowledge of current trends Proven ability to drive revenues and profit, without sacrificing colleague and customer experiences Proven ability in menu design, offerings, effective marketing plans, and on-line reputation management Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities Highly responsible and reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and build relationships Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
