About The Position

The Fitness Services Supervisor oversees theservicingof Pro-Health and Fitnessmembers' needs through orientation, education, instruction, and evaluation in the area of health and fitness.The Fitness Services Supervisor managesrespective programs and services offered to customers to enhance their overall health and fitness, ensuring a positive experience each and every time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year leadership experience; overseeing staff and programs in the areas of wellness, group exercise, and general exercise programs.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR AED Course certification prior to start date and maintained.
  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Communication - verbal, auditory and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Exercise Science or Health Science Education.
  • Two (2) years' leadership experience; overseeing staff and programs in the areas of wellness, group exercise, and general exercise programs.
  • Knowledge and use of fitness database and software

Responsibilities

  • Managesthe physical operation of Pro-Health's swim program, including but not limited to pool repairs and appropriate supplies while consistently maintaining a safe pool environment.
  • Overseesfitness programs offered, including but not limited to, individual swim lessons, group exercise classes (land and/or water), Pilates reformer, and other exercise classes.
  • Develops and maintainsfitness service schedules for members and staff for designated programs. Perform oversight and routinely monitor attendance for land and aquatic programs
  • Keepsthe Pro-HealthAssociatesinformed of fitness services programs and work cooperatively to develop and implement these programs in the functional area of responsibility.
  • Supervisesprojects involving the aerobic and spin rooms, including the operation, maintenance, and proper use of these facilities.
  • Establishesfitness program auditions, interview, and select qualified group fitness, Pilates, and swim instructors as needed.
  • Verifyand compliance with Health First andPro-Health policies and procedures,ensuringa safe fitness environment, and Health First policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision for the team that effectively ties into the mission and vision of HealthFirst, andinspirationally lead the team to achieve that vision.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, coaching, feedback and support to foster and strengthen growth and development of an effective, high performing team.
  • Lead change through effective communication, explaining the connection and value to the organization, creating stronger buy-in and urgency, while understanding impact to the team to obtain commitment.
  • Demonstrate openness to hearing diverse ideas and thoughts; create a sense of inclusivity; and encourage collaboration across teams to help break down silos to meet the team's and organization's goals.
  • Recruit, select, grow, and retain highly engaged,highperforming diverse and inclusive associates.
