About The Position
GPS is currently hiring a Temporary Fiscal Technician for a State Agency located in Columbia, SC. Why Apply? $18/hr - $20/hr 1st Shift, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday Convenient downtown professional office Gain valuable experience with potential for extension based on performance What you will do: Collect and record administrative fees. Assist with contract reporting via email, spreadsheets, and data tables. Audit vendor contract usage for compliance. Conduct forensic research on solicitations and awards. Perform market research and develop business cases for contracts. Conduct contract audits and ensure compliance. Manage delinquent accounts and send payment reminders. Provide finance and analytical support. Make follow-up calls on delinquent accounts and maintain records.
Requirements
- Associate degree or high school diploma with 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Accounts Receivable (AR), payment application, and customer service.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Drug-free workplace and a criminal background check are required.
