ProSidian Seeks a Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering (Time and Materials | Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category EN102 | Prof) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. Requirements

  • The Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

  • The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
  • requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist s working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy)
  • Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Education or Engineering, with 10 years equivalent experience in project / technical support or document/configuration control in / nuclear/chemical facilities/environment.
  • Candidate must be familiar with electronic document control and configuration management systems (e.g. SRS Linking Document Database (LDD) or Fire Protection Database System (FPDS))
  • Candidate must have prior experience with S/RID requirements (e.g. Safety Basis) implementation at SRS.
  • Candidate must have prior QA auditor experience
  • Candidate must have prior Causal Analysis experience
  • Candidate must have Conduct of Operations training
  • Candidate must have Operational Readiness Review or comparable experience.
  • Candidate must have interpersonal skills so as to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers
  • Candidate must be fluent in the use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point
  • A 40 hour work week schedule as anticipated for this position. SRR utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). A 4/10 schedule is preferred. Work week excludes SRR holidays.
  • Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
