About The Position

Task Force Tips, LLC. is an established manufacturer of firefighting equipment based in Valparaiso, IN, and is part of Madison Industries. The company is dedicated to continuous improvement to help first responders save lives and protect property. They are seeking a Finisher to join their Anodizing department. This role involves applying finishes to component parts used in their products and operating the department's equipment. The ideal candidate should be goal-driven, possess integrity, grit, and a passion for contributing to life-saving equipment for first responders. The company emphasizes a strong culture and mission.

Requirements

  • Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with the ISO9001 standard.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of OSHA and company safety precautions and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to operate computer and applicable software.
  • Effective oral communications with other company personnel, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
  • Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment with minimum supervision, work rapidly for long periods and work on several tasks at the same time, often under time pressure.
  • Ability to regularly work scheduled hours including weekend and/or evening hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in metal finishing, plating, or anodizing processing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Operates finishing line equipment to apply finishes to component parts according to print specifications.
  • Records production data.
  • Racks and un-racks component parts.
  • Runs parts according to the print and “recipe” specific to each part.
  • Measures coating thickness.
  • Keeps production equipment and work zone clean and orderly.
  • Assists in the routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Measures and records wastewater quality.
  • Measures and records concentration levels in various tanks.
  • Disposes of waste material, if any.
  • Proactively offers suggestions for the improvement of a product, process or practice.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
