We’re looking for teaching artists to teach Summer Maker Camps at Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center this Summer with our 12-17 year old age group in topics like 3D Printing, Machine Sewing, Laser Cutting and more.
Requirements
- Experience as a visual artist/maker with knowledge of 3D printing/Laser cutting/Machine Sewing is required.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years and older.
- JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a teaching artist, classroom teacher, paraprofessional, camp instructor or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience working with children in a formal or informal capacity is a plus.
Responsibilities
- writing lesson plans
- prepping supplies for fun and engaging art activities for campers
- managing the art classroom’s supplies and cleaning
- communicating with parents and building staff
- working with a Program Assistant to care for campers and help them have a great art camp experience
