About The Position

Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas. Plains All American Pipeline is looking for an enthusiastic subject matter expert to fill a full time position within our accounting organization. Reporting to Plains’ Manager, Financial Systems, the successful candidate will act as an Accounting subject matter expert for our ERP system, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, supporting core financial modules and related integrations across the organization. To excel in this role, the individual will build and maintain strong, trusted relationships within the Accounting department as well as across other business units, including Information Services.   • 5+ yrs accounting experience, preferably with some time in a financial systems support role
  • Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or other major ERP financial system is required
  • Proficient in MS Office products including advanced Excel skills
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Cloud EPM experience, specifically Enterprise Data Management (EDM), is a plus
  • Financial system implementation or upgrade experience a plus
  • Experience with application training tools and/or automated testing tools a plus

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations related to system integrations – including daily Employee and expense report integrations & monthly Chrome River integrations.
  • Review & approve Oracle Fusion security requests in accordance with our controls & perform reconciliations.
  • Monitoring system integration email notifications & coordinating any failure resolutions
  • Monitoring/Maintaining Foreign Exchange Rates and running FX Revaluation process in Fusion
  • Managing the Financial Systems group email inbox and coordinating tasks for the team through Azure Dev Ops (ADO).
  • Support Joint Venture Management setup and maintenance, Division of Interest configurations, and related accounting rules.
  • Support allocation model requests & updates within Oracle Fusion & EPCM, following our governance model
  • Provide day‑to‑day Oracle Fusion functional support to business users
  • Month‑end close assistance and configuration adjustments
  • Coordinate Oracle Fusion quarterly patch review & testing with the business, including initiating outreach, gathering and tracking responses, maintaining progress visibility, and sending follow‑up communications and instructions to ensure tasks remain on track.
  • Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with Plains’ SOX internal control framework
  • Provide training, guidance, and documentation for Oracle Fusion end users across Accounting and other business units
  • Continuously monitor processes and system configurations to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and standardization as the business evolves
  • Additional periodic assistance with Review and approve submitted Chart of Accounts requests in Oracle EDM
  • Compliance with Chart of Accounts governance policy and procedures
  • Chart of Accounts cross validation rule maintenance in Oracle ERP
  • Setup and Maintenance of new companies in the legal entity structure in the Oracle ERP
  • Maintenance of HR and Projects tables related to chart of accounts values
  • Business support for integration of Chart of Accounts to Workday, Chrome River, and CluedIn
  • EDM and Chart of Accounts training, when applicable
