About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a prompt customer experience with excellent verbal/written communication skills to deliver satisfactory solutions to a diverse range of inquiries received via email, web forms, and other digital communication sources. Utilize institutional knowledge and templates to construct a concise and personalized response to our customers, while educating them on their financial journey and self-service options available on www.Northwell.edu. Document each customer's inquiry and utilize various trackers/systems to maintain patient account information. Execute timely and consistent follow up on accounts by leveraging tools and resources provided to you in addition to demonstrating personal organizational skills. · Review and resolve accounts across multiple reports and worklist pools on a regular basis. Act as a liaison across several Northwell Health departments, insurance providers, and other third parties. Maintain Service Level Agreements and satisfactory Key Performance Indicators to ensure both team and individual customer satisfaction goals are met. Supports other areas of Financial Services and provides backup in-bound phone coverage when needed. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS · Ability to complete a typing test and achieve 50 WPM+ Speed Score and a 96%+ Accuracy Score.

Requirements

  • Ability to complete a typing test and achieve 50 WPM+ Speed Score and a 96%+ Accuracy Score.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year call center or relevant experience, required.
  • Excellent verbal/written customer service, communication and problem resolution skills, required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, require

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with Northwell Health host systems and billing process.
  • Experience in a medical setting, preferred.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures, preferred.
  • Proficient in PC applications (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
