About The Position

Summary The Financial Services Representative (FSR) provides a winning service experience and assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate processing and performing of transactions for Members and Non-Members including deposits, withdrawals, sale of negotiable instruments, etc. This position actively provides a broad range of Credit Union products and services. In order to safeguard the trust that Members place in our institution, the Financial Service Representative performs assigned job duties accurately, efficiently and with the highest degree of integrity. Key Performance Expectations: Responsible for proper operation of a cash drawer and for accurately balancing the cash drawer, checks, all negotiable items and vouchers at the end of the work shift. Handles all negotiable items, such as cashier’s checks, money orders, gift cards and temporary checks, US Savings Bonds, etc. in an accurate and efficient manner. Makes effective referrals to other specialists when appropriate. Performs Financial Center opening and closing duties as assigned. Deliver exceptional Member service by actively supporting the Purpose, Values and Strategies of Excite Credit Union Represents the credit union to the Member in a courteous and professional manner. Is responsible for prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing all Member requests Build strong Member relationships by providing information and education regarding Credit Union products and services Promptly resolves Member requests and complaints in a respectful, caring and satisfactory way Stays abreast of company policies and procedures, promotional campaigns and regulatory compliance related to job functions. Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year customer-facing experience in a retail environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Experience working in positions with sales/referral goals (team & individual)
  • Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities
