We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to join our accounting and finance team at our Centerville office. Position Overview: As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will oversee the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements and management reports that drive strategic business decisions. You will ensure compliance with GAAP, manage month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with leadership to provide insights into company performance. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to contribute to the continued growth and financial success of Hogan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or reporting-focused role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Sage 300 CRE or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication abilities

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Develop and maintain internal financial reporting tools and dashboards for management review
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assist with audit documentation
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the CFO and department heads
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of reporting systems
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff involved in reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to provide financial insight and support decision-making
