As the Financial Planning & Analysis Co-op, you will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, responsible for supporting monthly reporting, analysis, financial planning, budgeting and ad hoc projects. The position supports the FP&A team in delivery of best-in-class financial reporting and analytics to support decision-making, across the Firm.

Requirements

  • Experience with personal computer systems, spreadsheets required
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, keen judgement, strong attention to detail, curiosity and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Working toward obtaining a degree in Finance, Management, Economics or Business

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with analytical tools: Planful, Aderant Expert, Tableau, and Alteryx preferred but not required
  • Prior work, co-op, or internship experience in a professional service organization preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production of key financial metrics, coordinate and maintain templates for use in variance analysis at various levels
  • Support analysis of financial information, operating metrics using available tools (systems, spreadsheets) drive/lead/perform (as appropriate) analysis to create insights/highlight opportunities
  • Assist in the process of continuously improving financial reporting, including visualizations to illustrate trends and make recommendations
  • Leverage existing systems to enhance the quality, efficiency and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Recommend process enhancements and changes as necessary to advance efforts to increase and improve content, presentation, and time to produce
  • Support the FP&A team with ad hoc requests for financial information from business unit leaders, business development, functional departments
