About The Position

The Financial Planner & Analyst will play a key role in supporting our leadership team with the organization’s financial planning, analysis, project accounting, and overall business performance that drive smart growth and disciplined decision-making. This role will be a key partner to senior leaders across Operations, Sales, and Corporate functions. The role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and hands‑on experience with billing, job costing, and project lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Constuction Management
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 2+ years of direct FP&A experience, including budgeting and forecasting ownership
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to partner across functions and influence without direct authority
  • High attention to detail with the ability to perform under tight deadlines
  • Experience with Sage Intacct for Construction (strongly preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with planning & reporting systems, job costing, project‑based accounting, or service/field operations
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience automating workflows or building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or VBA) a plus
  • Experience supporting growth-stage or PE-backed companies

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts that reflect seasonality, job pipeline, labor needs, and cost variability
  • Analyze performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, clearly explaining drivers and variances
  • Maintain a weekly cash flow forecast, focused on liquidity, vendor payments, and financial visibility
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate month-end close
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting for senior leadership, including executive dashboards and performance summaries
  • Build polished financial presentations for leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, and external stakeholders as needed
  • Support leadership with scenario modeling and ad hoc analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, including automation, reporting simplification, and improved data integrity
  • Improve use of systems and tools to scale planning and reporting as the business grows
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, and key processes to support consistency and transparency
  • Utilize Sage Intacct for Construction to perform accounting functions, financial reporting, and project tracking
  • Maintain and enhance advanced financial models, spreadsheets, and reporting tools using advanced MS Excel skills
