About The Position

Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Financial Operations Senior Analyst to join our team! The Financial Operations Senior Analyst provides analysis and auditing functions within the finance department. The Financial Operations Senior Analyst applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. This role researches and gathers current financial information to incorporate efficient and effective reporting. Work also involves participation in other financial operations procedures as well as annual audit. The employee is expected to perform independently within established procedures and regulations and receive general instructions on methods of work.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Business or financial analysis related field; OR
  • Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Business or financial analysis related field; OR Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Business or financial analysis related field; OR Equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within North Carolina.
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Four (4) years of experience working with a health plan or other managed care entity or behavioral health services provider or hospital entity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Finance Department. Examine trends, statistics, and payments in order to monitor achievement of department goals and improve processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and other specialized reports or analysis on ad hoc basis by compiling and analyzing financial information.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies and communicate with staff, supervisors and managers during research regarding deviations found.
  • Track expenses of allocations, grants, and county, federal, and state funds, to include maintaining tracking and reporting of all spending and maintaining a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.
