Our Purpose This Senior Financial Analyst position reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager responsible for Volume FP&A and serves as a key member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) FP&A Volume team in Medtronic, with primary responsibility for partnering with the (Americas) Central manufacturing platform. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting of volume KPIs. Come for a job, stay for a career!   • Serve as the key FP&A contact for manufacturing sites across the Central region, focusing on volume KPIs, as part of the GOSC FP&A Volume Team.
  • Lead the consolidation, review, and analysis of weekly volume KPIs for the region’s manufacturing sites.
  • Investigate and understand drivers of variances (e.g., absorption, product mix) and proactively escalate concerns as needed.
  • Lead volume assumption planning for Annual Operating Plans and quarterly forecasts for the Central region, managing detailed KPI planning across offline models, OneStream, and other tools.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to manufacturing region Platform sites, providing insights into volume drivers, absorption trends, earned hours, production units, and related metrics.
  • Drive process improvement and simplification initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices for Volume KPI planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify and communicate forecast risks and opportunities by analyzing trends and expected changes.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Site Operations, Finance teams, and Global Manufacturing FP&A to develop analyses, processes, and presentation materials that translate data into impactful financial narratives.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to align online reporting tools (e.g., Weekly Volume Absorption dashboards) with weekly manufacturing region volume reports. Analyze outputs to deliver actionable insights.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses, special projects, and data preparation to meet internal customer needs.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in variance analysis and delivering actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships across geographies and time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with business intelligence and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management and change management, with a focus on implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong preference for candidates with Manufacturing Finance support and/or Cost Accounting experience, particularly in FP&A.
  • MBA/CPA/CMA
  • Experience navigating the complexities of working in a global manufacturing company with multiple financial system / multiple ERP / multiple currency environment.
