About The Position

Financial & Operations Analyst - TMH Physician Partners Position Summary The Financial & Operations Analyst supports the medical group’s strategic, financial, and operational goals by analyzing clinical, operational, and financial data. This role provides actionable insights, prepares reports for leadership, streamlines workflows, and helps optimize practice performance across patient access, productivity, revenue cycle, and cost management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, operations analysis, or healthcare analytics.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Advanced Excel; proficiency in Power BI/Tableau a plus.
  • Experience working with EHR/PM systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.).
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred.
  • Experience in a medical group, hospital, or healthcare system strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards for clinics and service lines.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, provider productivity, payer mix, cost trends, and profitability.
  • Monitor performance against budget and identify variances and corrective action opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
  • Support pro forma development for new providers, clinics, programs, and capital requests.
  • Evaluate clinic throughput, scheduling patterns, patient access, and resource utilization.
  • Track KPIs such as wRVUs, appointment capacity, no-show rates, panel size, and operational cycle times.
  • Conduct workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with clinic managers, revenue cycle teams, IT, and finance to optimize processes.
  • Support operational initiatives focused on efficiency, patient experience, and quality improvement.
  • Extract, clean, and interpret data from EHR, practice management, financial, and reporting systems.
  • Build standardized operational and financial dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reports and analytics tools.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Contribute analytical support for contract negotiations, compensation modeling, and payer strategy.
  • Provide insights that guide staffing models, clinic expansions, and service line optimization.
