SUMMARY Provide financial management support for operational senior management including financial review and analysis of the operations, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Capital Expenditures and Budget performance for all locations within reporting area. The Analyst will also be responsible for assigned special projects and compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the oil & gas service business as a business or financial analyst.
  • Training in quality processes, aptitude using Microsoft Office including advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with working capital management and a minimum of three years’ experience with an Enterprise-Wide Reporting System such as Oracle or SAP required.
  • Must have expert familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field including a theoretical and practical understanding of US GAAP.
  • Ability to write business correspondence.
  • Must have the ability to create presentations and reports to illustrate financial information effectively.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one, small and large group situations.
  • Must speak English fluently.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the achievement of operational objectives; helps to develop and maintain systems and processes; verifies integrity and accuracy of financial statements; monitors revenue and expenses; maintains and monitors accounting controls; and complies with legal requirements, as well as develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external business leaders.
  • Assists with the oversight of monthly, quarterly and year-end activities for operational financial reporting.
  • Review balance sheet balances and monthly transactional activity and communicates changes or entries required to corporate/local accounting as needed.
  • Prepares and/or reviews reconciliations for the operation as may be required.
  • Assists operations in constructing the monthly and quarterly flash projections.
  • Assists with audits (financial, SOX, internal, compliance, tax).
  • Monitors and communicates any issues with internal controls to Finance Manager and/or operational management.
  • Communicates necessary information with operations management to ensure accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Assists in establishing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures necessary to support and provide accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assists in the yearly budget process.
  • Monitor capital expenditure activity and generate any required fixed asset reports or analysis.
  • Oversee annual fixed asset review and/or count processes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable listings/alerts and interface with operations to expedite collections.
  • Keep Finance Manager and BU Presidents alerted to issues.
  • Assist with inventory review and reporting for manufacturing entities.
  • Maintains open lines of communication and works independently as well as part of a team.
  • Shares knowledge and help fellow associates where needed, regardless of whom the responsibility belongs.
  • Other non-recurring specific tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
