About The Position

The Financial Data Analyst supports the Finance function by transforming financial, operational, and sales data into insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role places strong emphasis on financial modeling, forecasting, profitability analysis, and sales performance analytics. The analyst will partner with Sales, Accounting, Operations, and Executive Leadership to evaluate revenue trends, customer profitability, pricing effectiveness, and market performance. This position will also play a critical role in ERP readiness through master data cleanup, standardization, and validation to support accurate and efficient data migration. Additionally, the analyst will develop reporting tools, document workflows, and support training related to financial and sales analytics across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or financial data analytics with emphasis on sales analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills including modeling, pivot tables, and Power Query.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases related to financial and commercial datasets.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to connect data insights to financial, operational, and commercial strategies.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, especially master data cleanup and migration readiness.
  • Ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting processes and developing training materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with sales forecasting methodologies, predictive analytics, or revenue modeling.
  • CRM analytics experience (Salesforce preferred).
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, or data governance.
  • Experience working with large datasets or big-data environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial, operational, and sales datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct deep sales analytics including customer profitability, product mix, price/margin performance, and territory analysis.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to drive visibility into KPIs across revenue, margin, customer behavior, and sales execution.
  • Lead master data cleanup, standardization, and validation to support ERP implementation and data migration projects.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to evaluate pricing strategies, new product opportunities, promotions, and commercial initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting through data‑driven models, scenario analysis, and revenue/margin projections.
  • Perform monthly revenue and margin variance analysis and present insights to leadership.
  • Improve data processes by defining data standards, documenting workflows, and enforcing governance best practices.
  • Translate insights into recommendations that support financial and operational decision‑making.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance data quality, strengthen controls, and optimize business processes.
