Work to interpret the financial data to make appropriate recommendations to management about financial matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of experience developing and analyzing reports and dashboards, writing SQL queries, or equivalent and creating business intelligence reports using Python, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent visualization tools
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports to identify financial impacts of the data
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
  • Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Python, SQL, Tableau and Power BI to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision making.
  • Maintain business logic in master tables for the assignment, development and distribution of reporting.
  • Gather relevant data and prepare various financial statements and reports.
  • Research and generate financial forecasts, sales analyses, and other trends.
  • Provide data and compile information for financial planning and periodic updates.
  • Create “what If” scenarios for future business planning from the finance perspective.
  • Calculate ROI analysis and monthly revenue forecasting.
  • Prepare research projects and analyses including budget, expenses, staffing, rates of return, sensitivity analysis, and financial projections.
  • Prepare various schedules to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
