About The Position
The Controller will work with various departments and teams to ensure proper management of financial records, prepare reports in a timely manner, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, playing a crucial role in the financial strategy of the company. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of analysis, budget management, GAAP accounting, SOX compliance, auditing and business logistics with high proficiency utilizing accounting software.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA required
- Must possess strong analytical skills and be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must be positive, friendly and professional.
- Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
- Must demonstrate professional communication in reaching out to employees and managers for needed documents.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
- Able to perform duties independently.
- Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
- Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Requires periodic participation and attendance at company events and meetings.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring internal financial controls
- Preparing, examining, analyzing, and utilizing financial reports to ensure accuracy for compliance, forecasting, strategy, and cash flow
- Providing strategic support for financial objectives
- Conduct internal audits to verify the accuracy and consistency of financials and identity potential areas for adjustment and improvement
- Align financial policies with Company objectives
- Assist with financial statement audits
- Assist with GAAP accounting and SOX compliance
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
