About The Position

Empirical is looking to hire a motivated Financial Management Consulting Manager to join our growing team! In this role, you will oversee the financial health of projects, programs, or organizational units by integrating accounting, budgeting, and reporting. Serves as a Program Manager or Subject Matter Specialist on financial management, or adjacent, projects to address requirements related to financial operations, reporting, accounting; audit readiness, remediation, and liaison; cost, performance, and budget to support resource management and mission operations; internal control program, assessment, and risk management; and financial transformation and innovation, including new and emerging technology, to optimize business processes and financial and information systems, and improve data integrity and reporting. A Financial Consulting Manager leads teams that provide strategic financial advice, analysis, and planning to internal stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management
  • A minimum of 6 years of accounting-related work experience in federal financial management, auditing, and supporting financial statement audit activities.
  • Executive-level oral and written communication skills are needed to provide the client with effective technical advice.
  • Ability to work independently in analyzing and resolving problems.
  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • Ability to manage a moderately sized project to achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in defining creative solutions to client problems.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Adaptive person with a willingness to learn new tasks and business functions.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, specifically, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to complete a background investigation and credit check, as well as being able to obtain a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is contractually required.
