About The Position

The financial analyst will assist with the monthly financial reporting and variance analysis. They will help build excel models to support understanding of the business and be involved in the month end close process. This role offers exposure to multiple parts of the business and cross-functional work with other departments. The financial analyst will also provide support for budgets, forecasts and the yearend audit.

Requirements

• Accounting / Finance / Economics degree (or equivalent experience)
• Team Player – small team requires strong communication & interaction
• Loves to learn
• Learn established processes and challenge / continuously improve
• Process and detail oriented
• Role includes some accounting, financial analysis, reporting and special projects
• Interest in learning ERP system; Microsoft Office especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Flexible to act as back up/coverage to other team members are required (training will be provided)

Responsibilities

• Build models (in Excel) to support analytics.
• Support monthly departmental reporting.
• Support month-end close process.
• Support preparation of monthly management reporting package
• Process customer remittances – for one customer (approx. 2-5 per day)
• Support yearend audit and annual budget / periodic reforecast processes.
• Provide other ad hoc support, participate in ad hoc projects.
