About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our Northern Division, which is based in Louisville, KY. This position reports to the Division Controller with dotted line to the strategic market area manager. This position works with a broad cross-section of area managers and professionals to both provide data and the meaningful interpretation thereof. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, intuitive problem-solving skills and the drive to meet ever evolving organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field.
  • Effective communication skills: written and inter-personal.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office suites, particularly MS Excel.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage a dynamic workload.

Nice To Haves

  • Business analytics/data mining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain/update/publish weekly & monthly financial reports and interactive dashboards.
  • Perform, summarize and distribute quantitative analysis of weekly reports.
  • Assist in month-end accounting procedures and inventory management.
  • Assist in creation of annual business plan/forecast.
  • Manage/model capital expenditure project requests across all business units.
  • Design and build analysis tools and new reporting as needed using MS Excel and data mining tools.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed by stakeholders throughout the market area.
  • Perform administrative functions for responsible area. (ie. purchase orders, accounting entries, etc.).
