You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of work papers and analyses to report practice operations, review performance benchmarks and assist in business forecasting. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field as required.
  • Two years of progressive accounting experience; preferably in a physician practice management or healthcare-related environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices sufficient to identify and describe accounting systems and sub-systems.
  • Knowledge of research techniques to analyze and evaluate financial data and information.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and prepare statistical and narrative accounting reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, projections and account reconciliations as required to accurately report/ forecast operational performance.
  • Prepare monthly reports for corporate data submissions and compile information to evaluate performance in relation to benchmarks.
  • Prepare detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports to support practice management.
  • Assist in training new/existing financial staff as needed.
  • Assist practice management, as needed with financial information requests and questions.
  • Participate in development and detailed review of operation budgets and performance benchmarks.
  • Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
