About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Financial Analyst III to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and leadership abilities, enabling them to build robust relationships with executives and department leads. This role involves partnering with key stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and enhance financial performance.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in GOVCON as a Financial Analyst.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and modeling.
  • Experience with Costpoint and Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with contract types such as Fixed Price, T&M, and Costplus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Division VP and program team to provide analysis and guidance for informed decision-making and improved financial performance.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the program portfolio and recommend actions based on analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create the Division's annual budget.
  • Maintain and monitor program forecasts, highlighting drivers and exposing risks and opportunities to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Support all aspects of program financial management and reporting, ensuring projects remain within negotiated parameters and funded levels.
  • Provide advanced financial planning and execution support for contract deliverables, subcontractor management, and invoicing.
  • Explain key drivers of actual results against Budget and Forecast for various contract types (FFP, T&M, LOE, and Cost type).
  • Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis and corporate submission.
  • Support Monthly Accounting Close activities, including cost accruals, revenue and profit review, invoice review, and indirect expense review.
  • Identify corrective actions and collaborate with Accounting staff to ensure accurate Profit & Loss reflections.
  • Monitor business unit A/R and work with PMs and Billing to minimize Days Sales Outstanding.
  • Support Finance Manager and VP with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc requirements.
