About The Position

As a Financial Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in reviewing incoming project requests to ensure alignment with capital policy and strategic objectives. You will validate the completeness of Statements of Work (SOWs) and supporting documentation, analyze project deliverables and costs to determine their proper classification as either CapEx or OpEx, and prepare clear documentation and recommendations for financial coding.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in capital analysis, IT financial governance, risk management, compliance and regulation, internal controls, and data governance
  • Exposure to large-scale software projects and compliance frameworks (FASB, GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in complex scenarios

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming project requests for alignment with capital policy and strategic objectives.
  • Validate completeness of Statements of Work (SOWs) and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze project deliverables and costs to determine proper classification (CapEx vs. OpEx).
  • Prepare clear documentation and recommendations for financial coding.
  • Partner with IT teams, Finance, and project managers to ensure accurate intake and classification.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure adherence to internal capital software policy and regulatory requirements (FASB, GAAP).
  • Maintain accurate records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline intake and classification workflows using automation and AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
