About The Position

PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract award. This position may be shared with one of our contract partners, and applicant resumes may be shared with a partner for consideration. In support of our customer, we are seeking a Financial Analyst Midgrade with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols. The job duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Utilizing Government financial systems to perform budget execution and validation and financial tracking through closeout, reporting, and data updates.  • Preparing and maintaining Phasing Plans; Spend Plans; Program Execution Plans; Obligation Phasing Plans; Status of Funds; Execution Review Reports; POM submissions; and Audit Reports.  • Drafting financial slides, charts, graphs, and status reports using data from multiple sources.  • Retrieving and reconciling financial data; tracking commitments, obligations, and liquidation status; analyzing historical and current data to identify and resolve discrepancies; and supporting DAR-Q processes.  • Drafting, staffing, and submitting CDRLs for Government review.  General Responsibilities Include: • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a range of budgetary problems.  • Develops alternative methods of funding. Formulates budget estimates for programs in which objectives, work processes, staffing needs, and funding requirements have changed to the extent that substantial re-budgeting is required each year.  • Develops and administers the budget execution plans for industrially funded activities subject to fluctuating revenues and changing demand for services, which necessitate reprogramming actions throughout the fiscal year.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree Required.
  • Six (6) years of related work experience in public or private sector business/financial management, technical analysis, or logistic support analysis directly related to task area. Program experience in major systems RDT&E and Procurement programs.
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge and understanding of governing budgetary policies, precedent-setting decisions, procedures, and regulations issued by the department, the parent command, and the employing installation to assure that budget forecasts, estimates, and submissions conform to requirements, guidelines, and financial objectives.
  • Minimum Clearance Required: SECRET

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution process, as well as Government financial data management systems, such as CERBERUS, PR Builder, and DAI.
  • Familiarity with Power BI desired.
  • DAU Business Financial Management practitioner preferred.
